Soluble bicarbonates in our water systems changes to insoluble calcium carbonate through time and chemical reaction. Lime scale, the greenish-white deposits found commonly on our pipes, is form when calcium carbonate dries up. The creation of lime scale is hasten in the presence of heat or through the evaporation process. Calcium carbonate forms into lime scale because individual molecules have mutual affinity, i.e. they tend to attract one another. Question: You mentioned that existing lime scale will be removed. What will happen to it?
Answer: Small particles will simply flow away as you use water in the normal way. Larger pieces may gather at the bottom of your hot water cylinder and your boiler for a while, but they will also dissolve into smaller particles and disperse ultimately.

Question: Should AquaMag-Plus be left running all the time?

Question: What happens if there is a power failure?
